I got a carnitas burrito with no add-ins, and it was huge and flavorful! This is more expensive than Chipotle but had much larger portions and more flavorful meat. Overall, it had great service and a chill atmosphere that's fun to be in. I would recommend
I personally don’t think some of the stickers or music are appropriate for children. So if the kids are with you, get your order to-go and leave the kids in the car. The food was really good! The guacamole was the best part.
This was our first time there. I had the Mezcal Chipotle steak bowl with Maui Wawai sauce, which was excellent. My wife had the Beef Burria Burrito, which was good also. We started with "The dog ate my stash", it was good, but there was more tortilla than filling. It's still got a cool name. (Although the dog could get sick so keep your stash away from your dog) We ate on the patio overlooking the river. The music was good, but it kind of drowned out the better sounds of nature. There were lots of Killdeer flying up and down the river. Pretty cool. The service and hospitality were both excellent as well. Thanks.
First time coming here today. First was greeted kindly and had an explanation as to how the menu works. Me and my boyfriend both ordered a burrito. Afterwards we went to sit down and wait for our food. I went to the restroom and the food was out by the time I finished. When I came back out my boyfriend was already half way through his burrito. I don’t say this lightly that was the best burrito I have ever had. So flavorful and full ! Halfway through eating my burrito my boyfriend spilled my drink all over the table leaving my burrito soggy with Arnold Palmer. One of the workers (wish I knew his name!) came over and quickly cleaned up. He then saw my burrito was soaked and offered a new one to me. This place gave a 5 star experience from start to finish. Highly recommend !!
We actually ate at Hot Chip which is in the same place as BoxCar Hippie but OMG!!! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING THEIR COLESLAW FANTASTIC THE EMPLOYEES SPOT ON AND MY SON LOVED THE BEING ABLE TO PLAY A COUPLE OLD SCHOOL VIDEO GAMES!!
The surrounding of Box Car Hippie lends its atmosphere as a laid back mellow place to chill. We grabbed take out. The value is recognized in the healthy portions of fresh quality ingredients married together as passion that easily serves for two meals. Also, it is not everywhere you can grab an eat and cannabis drink, or treat!
So good! There's waaayyy too much food for 1 sitting. The chips are incredible and the queso is the best I've had in forever! We will be back
Awesome vegan options & substitutes! Got delivery and was not disappointed. It was generous, delicious, and full of flavor (not just a sad bean burrito that's usually relegated to vegans). They have all the fixings: vegan chorizo, vegan chicken, even vegan sour cream! Highly recommend.
